16 Dog AV Retriever All Aged Field Trial

Chief Steward Stewart North

Our Judges for the day Steve Crookes, Paul Dukes Josephine van der Dussen and Patti Money Coutts did a fantastic job.

Our Guns, Euan, Huw , John. Sally, John Troop and Friends put plenty of game on the floor yo produce some challenging retrieves.

My Helpers Jemma, Liz, Matt, Paul, Robert Ann and Arthur made the day run smoothly and efficiently.

Sponsor providing Award Cards and Working Dog Food prizes Skinners Dog Food thank you very much

We started off with the handlers being devided into odds and Evens, all the odd numbers were under the RHS judges PD & PMC and Evens with the LHS judges SC & JVD. A mixture of Pheasants and Partridge were shot in light white grass cover near hedge rows.

The second drive produced Pheasants, Partridge and Woodcock which were shot a mixture of light and heavy bramble in woodland and white grass.

Wentworth provided plenty of game and a keeper who can control the drives, guns that could shoot and judges who used the retrieves wisely to show off good dog work meant we finished mid afternoon, not an easy task towards the end of the shooting season.

We thanked and celebrated the Award Winners and Guns, Judge's and Helpers in daylight!

Everyone appeared to have had a successful day.

Unfortunately no dog was Awarded first place, but the following Awards were granted
